A report prepared by Media Partners Asia (MPA), the international media research agency, has estimated that Star TV India has posted revenues Rs2,200 crore in 2008-2009, a 10 percent growth over 2007-2008. Star TV India is the media arm of Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation. Star TV India follows a Jul to Jun calendar. According to MPA estimates, Star TV India posted an operating income of $80 million (Rs400 crore) in 2008-2009 on sales of $440 million (Rs2,200 crore). According to MPA, Star TV India's operating income in 2007-2008 was close to $95 million.
